Looking west from Elk Rock, north peak log deck, down the front slope. No tall trees for a few years. The Bear Cr. turn, in upper right, has a road to the top, but a gate at the start makes for a long hike, and the terrain on the west side of Elk Rock is generally steeper than on the east side.
